Ms. Diana Cronin was the founding partner in the firm, and after 23 years serving clients in accounting and wealth management, she retired from CHV in 2021, and now resides in Melbourne Beach, Florida with her husband, Jim.
Diana has significant experience in accounting, taxation and financial services. Diana initially started her own wealth management and accounting firm in 1997, operating under Diana M. Cronin, LLC. In 2013, Diana joined partnership with Maryann Hanley and Cara Van Zile to form Cronin, Hanley & Van Zile, LLC, with a focus on accounting, tax planning and preparation for corporations and high net worth individuals.
With over 20 years in practice, the firm handles all stages of Internal Revenue Service and state agency audits and notices. She has extensive experience in coordinating between multiple parties in structuring complicated financial transactions. In addition, she assists her clients with general business and staffing issues, and provides support for budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. Her clients recognize her ability to help them better understand business and leverage tax strategies, working closely with their financial planners on a day to day basis. Additionally, her firm handles the bill paying function for several high net worth individuals and small businesses, including providing appropriate monthly and ad hoc reporting and account management.
Prior to establishing her practice, Diana was a partner with Arthur Andersen & Company, where she provided tax services to high net worth individuals and medium and large public companies. There she supported clients in complex mergers and acquisitions, as well as international transactions. She provided tax consulting services working with several tax exempt entities including private foundations, hospitals and a home for disabled adults.
Diana has held several financial and treasury positions supporting local charitable organizations in North Jersey and has helped in their establishment and in maintaining their tax exempt status. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. She holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Business Administration and the other in Economics from the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ.
